Welcome
Our vision is to provide a secure and caring environment where the welfare of each student is paramount, where all students are supported in their efforts to achieve excellence.
Hornsby Heights Public School is set in beautiful grounds which border the Berowra Valley Bushland Park. The calls of many native birds may be heard each day, attracted to the school by the plants and shrubs in the abundant gardens.
Term 4 Week 5
We are looking forward to seeing all the students who are coming to Kindergarten in 2010 at our next Transition to Big School morning on Thursday this week for another fun filled morning. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to meet some of the teachers they will have at school next year and to get to meet other students that will be in their classes. The children will participate in a mini library lesson and use the IWB's in the Kindergarten rooms when they visit on Thursday 19th November.
The date of our end of year Musical Heights School Concert is fast approaching! It is an afternoon of music, song and dance not to be missed and ticket orders need to be at the school office as soon as possible. The students had a full dress rehearsal last Wednesday to check that everything will run smoothly on the day. Musical Heights is always a great showcase for the talented students at our school.
Some of our senior students will be participating in the Milo Cricket Cup on Tuesday 17th November. We wish them all good luck and hope they enjoy the day. The Year 5 students are looking forward to the CARES Excursion to be held on 24th November. We hope they have an enjoyable day and learn lots about road and bike safety.
